Chore Chart
I got the brilliant idea to make Peaches a Chore Chart so she can start earning an allowance. She thought that was a wonderful idea and it would be so much FUN. Yeah, that thought did not last very long. She figured out that she actually had to do the work every day and didn't earn very much for doing it. I think she earned about $7.00 over the course of 6 weeks. She then realized that $7 didn't buy her very much. What does she think about the chore chart now?? Well, lets just say it is blank & the gravy boat that she stores her allowance money in is almost empty. When I told her that I took the chart down, she shouted "Yes" and said "I don't like that game". Where did I go wrong?

"I don't like that game" :) Peaches made me laugh at that. We did the whole chore chart thing when Morgan was that same age. Lasted for a few months. Now they know they HAVE to do chores. (Or whatever I ask them to do.) Or they don't get an allowance. They want the $$, & I have child laborers. :)
$7 won't even buy P a Hannah Montana cd!! ;)
yeah, I tried the whole chore chart thing - and I got super creative making it too, it didn't last for long and now I had to put it away while we're trying to sell our house, but I'm going to try again when we get another house.
