Attended a beautiful wedding reception for our friends Amy and John. The girls were so cute in their matching dresses and pearls.
Saturday afternoon sitting in the sun......oh, and wearing shoes (which was not so much fun for Em at the time).
I like this pose of Em.
I followed the Kenny Chesney bus on my way to work. I think I was the only one dumb enough to drive and take pictures with my camera at the same time. We were only doing about 20 mph so I guess I wasn't THAT dumb.
Em sporting her new shades.
Em busted open a bag of chips on the way home from Groucho's Deli.
I loved Em's horns but she didn't! They didn't last very long.
Our newest addition, Charley. John calls him Woka-flocka! Don't ask!
After my 5-k on Saturday. Ok, so I did a 14 minute mile and my total 43 minutes. It was my first and probably only 5-k, so I'm just happy that I finished. I placed 129th out of 151 competitors. I feel good about that since about 100 of the competitors were hard core (like should have been running a marathon instead of a charity race. They ran the 5-k again as we were still walking past mile marker 2).
Me and my friend Libby. We were the only 2 brave souls that took on the challenge. And what a challenge it was. We both hate to exercise! I still hate exercising, but after finishing the 5-k, I do think I will do another one. Libby and I want to do the Mid Summer Nights 5-k in August. Pretty crazy!
For Mother's Day weekend I wanted my laundry detergent, dish-washing detergent, and fabric softener made......so we went and bought all the stuff (2 trips to the store) and made it. The soap made my house smell so fresh and clean.
Above are just some of the ingredients. I had to go back and buy baking soda, conditioner and a container with a lid.
Peaches is filling up my new birdbath.
John and the girls gave me a little sanctuary. This used to be where are pond was. Since we couldn't keep the pond clean or the fish alive, we dug it up and filled in the space with dirt and now gravel.
I now have a beautiful new flag, birdbath and hanging basket to decorate my yard. This is about as exciting as it gets!
Peaches next to my next bird feeder which will surely please the squirrels.
This kept Em busy for few minutes while we worked on the laundry detergent.
This picture wasn't meant to be so adorable.....but now it's my new favorite. Em moved quickly when I took the picture so it looks like she is laying her head on Peaches chest.
