Monday, Monday

What does John do on a Monday? Well, he took the dog to the vet to get his anal gland expressed. Laura on the other hand, went to work like normal people. The dog had an abscessed anal gland and they had to flush it out then they put him on antibiotics. They put him under for that! He is at home now and doing much better. The meds wore off so now he is starving and searching for crumbs.

Sunday Before Church

So everyone keeps telling me that I don't ever post pictures of myself. Well, there are two good reasons for that. One being, I don't like to have my picture taken. Actually, like is too nice of a word. I'm not photogenic, therefore, I don't take pictures. Second, I am always the one taking the pictures so there are never any pictures of me. So, even though I look like I am in pain in this photo, you better enjoy it.

Wet Saturday

What do you do on a rainy Saturday? Well, dye Easter eggs of course. Then when it stops raining you get dressed up in your best Easter dress and pose for pictures. Well, that's how Peaches spent her weekend.

Facebook

So I wanted to see what all the hype was about so I logged onto Facebook. Actually, I was invited by a friend to join Facebook. I accepted her invitation and once I did I started getting invitations from family and friends. I think I got 8 invitations in one day. I had 14 messages in one afternoon. I do think it is pretty cool and now I understand why people spend HOURS on it, it can be addictive. My problem is that I don't have enough time to keep up with it. I am lucky if I check my e-mail once a day. In the last couple of weeks that I have been checking Facebook out, I have met up with some people that I haven't seen in years. I'm not sure what a Mofia Family is, or being kidnapped or 8 balled............. it is all a bit overwhelming! What happened to just calling someone or sending a letter? I guess those days are over. Hey, I wonder if I can do my VT through Facebook!!!!

Snow day, part deux!

Yeah, not so much. From last Wednesday on, we've been told that massive amounts of snow were coming this past weekend. The weather was beautiful for Peach's day off on Friday, and we spent about 2 hours on the trampoline. Why, yes...I did do some somersaults. But I hid the phone from Peach so she couldn't turn me in to the Trampoline FBI. The rain started about noon, and kept on through Saturday night. The snow was supposed to start Sunday evening...probably about the time I was done watching World Superbike racing...which was cool with me. Everytime I watch guys going 100 mph around curves it makes me want to do it.

So we waited for the snow. And at 4:30, we get a phone call that school has been cancelled for the next day. Woot! So we waited. And waited some more. We waited until 9pm, and then gave up. I figured I'd be up to see it sometime in the middle of the night. Yeah, woke up at 2am...no snow. We got up this morning and both of our jobs were delayed until 10am....no snow. Not even frost. Georgia got up and cried because of the lack of snow. Then she realized that she still didn't have to go to school, and it was all good!

So I took her to work with me. I had planned on doing that anyway, and the lack of snow just made it easier for me to get in! Of course, since the majority of my co-workers live near the area where NO SNOW occured, the parking lot was almost as full as it would have been if we had started at our normal operating time. It's cool, though. I got in and did about two hours of good work, Peaches entertained my co-workers and decorated my new cubicle, and we met Laura for lunch. Then we came home and drove each other crazy trying to find things to do. There's only so much "crafting" I can take. It's too cool out to send her into the backyard and lock the door. So thanks, WIS and WLTX. You guys were spot on with the forecast. I want to be a weather guy. They (and baseball players) are the only people that can be right 30% of the time and be awarded for it.
