We're Back

We finally made it home after our long vacation to Virginia over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I feel like we have been gone forever, time just flies by so fast.
I will try and post pictures over the weekend of our adventures.
Below are some of the things that we got to do while in VA:

-Had a birthday party for my dad who turned 62. The cake was amazing (butter cream frosting with strawberry mouse in the center of the vanilla cake). The best part was that it cost $9.99 from BJ's and served 15.

-Went to the Gaylord Ice Village in Maryland with John's brother and his wife and 2 of their 5 kids (the other 3 were at home with Gran). The Ice Village was neat and freezing cold (9 degrees cold). We wore Parkas over top of our layers of clothes and coats. The 50 degree temp outside felt like summer.

-Peaches will tell you she got thrown from a horse. The real story is she actually slide off of the horse and landed on her bum. Let her tell you the story........it is funny.

-Peaches and one of her cousins made Chocolate Chip Cookies (Paula Deen Style). They were soooo good. I only ate 1 because I felt my cholesterol climb and arteries clog while watching the 3 sticks of butter go into the mix.

-Went shopping on Black Friday with my mom and sis. Got some good deals and didn't have to fight any crowds. The only disgruntled person we ran into was at the Chic-Fil-A!

-It started sleeting outside on Friday as the temp was 50 degrees and the sun was shinning. The weirdest thing ever.

-My 4 year old nephew kept singing the Pink song "Funhouse"......his favorite line was "This used to be a fun house, but now it's full of evil clowns". He truly thinks clowns all over the world are evil. He kept singing the song while we were eating Thanksgiving dinner. I guess you had to be there but we all thought it was hilarious.

-The same 4 year old nephew told us how to get rid of the hiccups. He told us that we have to eat a pineapple and take a bath or fly a plane upside down. I couldn't quite understand if I had to eat the pineapple while taking a bath or I just simply had to eat one THEN take a bath. He wasn't clear on that.

-Came home to a dead battery in the car and a fried dryer!!

BUT, we are glad to be home and back into our normal routine.
