I know, I know....it has been forever since I posted anything. My excuse is Life Happened! One of my goals is to keep it current and post at least once a month.
Let's see, the Holidays were fabulous. We spent Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with friends and had a great time. Themed potluck is now the new Christmas tradition.
2013 was a great year although we did have some ups and downs, which was to be expected. Our family helped another family that suffered the tragic loss of their 15 year old son. I know I personally felt as if their son was my child and I mourned the loss with the family.
Georgia trained for her first 5k through the program called Girls On The Run. She did great and only missed 1 practice. She is already signed up to do it again in the Spring. John volunteered to be her running buddy again too.
Georgia also spent part of the summer in Virginia with both sets of grandparents. While she had a blast, I was miserable. While she was away we bought new carpet for our house and did a room makeover for Georgia as her homecoming surprise.
We did have our hot water heater bust causing some slight damage to the downstairs. With our insurance settlement we were able to get a new kitchen floor, paint the downstairs and do several other smaller projects that had been undone for years.
John transferred to the Arson Unit at work and loves it. His schedule is very unpredictable so sometimes that leaves me in a bind but it all works out in the end.
Til next time.

This is how we punish our girls. Although, I don't think this is punishment for Em.
The girls getting to try on their dads new work equipment now that he is an arson investigator. OOHHH!
He's not cool enough for his name to be printed on his helmet yet (he he!).
Our first outing with Harper-down by the river.
Some cute photos of the girls (before the fighting started).
It was blazing hot this morning but most of us had a good time any way.
For you, Mary Beth!
It's Bo Time in The Roberts house.
Who left the dry erase markers out again? Guess who found them AGAIN?
My friend Sherrie (from the 'Burg) that I haven't seen in way too long. Every time we get together I laugh so hard my face hurts.
She is hilarious!

Peaches wanted to get her ears pierced again for her birthday so we let her. I think two holes in each ear is enough. She wanted to get her lip or eye pierced. Not gonna happen!
I fixed the girls breakfast in bed on Peaches birthday, August 9th. She turned 9. I didn't wait for the pancakes to cool off before I put the eyes on so they melted. Oh well. It was the thought that counts.
John and I took off on her actual birthday so we could spend the whole day making memories. We painted pottery in the morning at Lexington Art Studio. Their artwork is now displayed in my office at work.
Em making a business card holder which is beautiful.
In the afternoon we went to the mall so Peaches could spend her money on a new build-a-bear.
We then donated some of her old stuff animals to Pets, Inc. Our favorite charity.
That Saturday, August 11the (one day before my birthday) I took the birthday girl and her two BFF's to Miyabi's. John was home sick with a stomach virus so I had to recruit Sister Briles to come with me for support. I did spend most of my time in the parking lot with Em since she was afraid of the "fireworks" but we still had fun.
This is the before picture........before Em spilled my salad on me.
My bug bite on the toe. That little insect landed me in the doctors office, on antibiotics and bed rest.
While I was on bed rest this is what Em decided to do.
The girls at a birthday party.
Peaches first day of 4th grade.
Just after we bought Harper-in the car on the way to get his new kennel and dog food. The girls were in heaven.
Sleeping beauty and her prince.

July & August 2012
Here's some pictures that we've taken recently:
This one's of Peaches and Memmomie. Check out her cool new hat she got as an early birthday gift from her grandma.
Here is how potty training is going so far. Enough said!
Me and my two girls. Love you both like crazy.
Guess who played in mom's makeup while she wasn't looking?
I won mother of the year award. I made Peaches run outside in the thunderstorm to catch pieces of hail for her little sister to hold. Was that wrong?
Close enough to a water bed. The girls had so much fun on the air mattress. Who needs toys?
I totally didn't recognize my child when she came home looking like this. I swear it makes her look 5 years older.
Peaches left her canoe out again so Em decided to use it as a lounge chair to watch her cartoons in.
My favorite ice cream of the week is Chocolate Peanut Butter from Blue Bell @ Chocolate Monkey. Yum!
Peaches shooting the squirrels again. I think this is so funny and wrong at the same time.
