I'm terrible about keeping track of baby Em's firsts........so I just wanted to put out there that she now has 6 teeth and all before she turned 10 months old. Her top 4 teeth came in at the same time. I joke with Peaches that Em will get ALL her teeth in (molars included) before she even looses 1 tooth. The kid is almost 8 and hasn't lost NOT 1 tooth.
Ok-I feel better about bragging about that now.

It's My Turn
Ok, it's my turn to complain. I deserve to right?
It sucks that I must stay behind in SC while John is in VA visiting "our family". I am missing the funeral of a very special person to be here to work and so Peaches won't miss school.
It sucks that I must get up every day and go to work. I must leave my children for 11+ hours every day so I can WORK. I miss seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and listening to their babble. Sucks that I get baby Em home for her to eat, be cranky then go to bed two hours before I do.
It sucks that I must be responsible for everything!
It sucks that I don't have a talent (that I know of). BTW, being nice, empathetic and organized is not a talent. It's a skill. There's a difference.
It sucks that I'm haven't found 1 thing that I am truly good at.
It sucks that I can never buy anything new or name brand (yes, because I chose too.......which brings me to another complaint........... it sucks to be so darn frugal).
It sucks to feel guilty being away from your children to actually go out and do anything fun or "just for me". I can't seem to make myself enjoy ME TIME without feeling overwhelming guilt that I have left my children AGAIN after being gone 11+ hours a day, 5 days a week.
It sucks that I have OCD.
That's all for tonight. I'll feel better in the morning!

What's Been Happening?
Well, we finally got our yard done. It's only been 13 months since the last time we had the landscaper here. It was soooo worth us paying someone else for all their hard work. There is no way we could have cleaned up this huge mess by ourselves. Yeah Sunstar Landscaper!
Peaches with the nasty "Cat's Tails" that I loathe. The landscaper cut them back as far as he could so we can KILL them come spring.
We counted 29 bags of leaves in the front and there were probably 30 more in the backyard.
Em laying on the trampoline soaking up the rays.
Yummy Valentine's cupcakes.
Peaches delivered them to our neighbors and wished everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!
The night of the Father/Daughter dance at school.
The girls eating turkey. Peaches was sharing her food with Em. They both look so big.

CHD Awareness Week Feb 7-14th

I'm the Aunt of an amazing Congenital Heart Defect Warrior!
Below are the words of my sister-in-law talking about Tiptoe, her 2 year old daughter and our niece.
I've felt heartache beyond what's imaginable. I've cried many tears . I've witnessed true miracles . I've also witnessed CHDs take the lives of many other beautiful children. CHDs have no known cause OR cure! Help spread CHD awareness for every life lived & lost cause of a CHD! I'm spreading awareness for all CHD Warriors, Angels, and CAMILLE! ♥ CHD Awareness Week Feb 7-14th ♥
We love you Tiptoe and pray for you every day. We pray your upcoming surgery is a success!Love, Aunt Laura, Uncle John, Peaches and Em

5th Annual Winterfest Art Show
Peaches artwork was selected to be in the 5th Annual Winterfest Art Show at Lexington Old Mill. What an honor! We attended the opening ceremony last night (not knowing Peaches was sick). It was fun for me anyway!
Em just had to be seen next to her sisters masterpiece that will be famous one day.
Peaches art teacher Mrs. Merritt.
