Papa's Birthday

My dad or "Papa" turned 60 something so we had a birthday party for him the night we arrived in VA. My mom ran out of candles so she improvised with a lighter. I know I mentioned earlier that the cake was delicious......it was soo delicious it was worth mentioning twice.

Trip to Grumps' Farm

Peaches got to spend the morning working cows and exercising Daisy with John's dad, Grumps. Here is a picture before she was "thrown" from the horse. Her story has now changed and she slid off of the horse. She wasn't hurt, just a little scared. John said that she didn't hold onto the horses mane and when Daisy turned to walk one way, Peaches went the other.

Pictures from Virginia Trip

Ice Village at Gaylord Hotel in Arlington, VA. The tour of the village last about 30 minutes but you could have stayed as long as you wanted. I DIDN'T WANT TO!! It was 9 degrees in there!!!! After about 5 minutes in the cold you literally couldn't feel your body and your mouth wouldn't move when you talked. I was thankful for the 50 degree temp outside. We had a great time though. We walked around the Gaylord Hotel and counted all of the Christmas Peeps hidden inside the hotel. We then watched a water show where the water danced to Christmas music, the water shot 60 feet in the air. The best part of that night was being with John's middle brother Scott, his wife Mandy and 2 of their children (the other 3 were at home sick). Thanks to Scott and Mandy for driving in the hectic rush hour traffic, in the rain........in their commuter van and for providing dinner on the road.
