Ear Infection

Two weeks ago I went deaf in my left ear. I thought I had water behind my ear drum or a blockage. I waited longer than I should have to see a doctor. I went Wednesday to have my ear drained and only the water the nurse put in came out, nothing else. The doctor came back in to check & see if the ear drum was clear and his exacts words were, "How interesting.........we have a mess here". That didn't sound good! So, the results were that I have a really bad ear infection (fluid from my sinuses are behind my ear drum), still deaf and my medicine makes me sick in unpleasant ways (NICE).
For the past several days I swear that phones are ringing and vibrating. I echo inside my head when I talk which is so annoying. I fear that when I fall asleep I won't be able to hear Peaches if she needs me.
I realize now how important my hearing is to me and I am thankful for that sense.
I am just praying that the medicine works and my hearing is restored soon.

Mini Beach Trip

Our trip to Myrtle Beach was so fun. It stormed one afternoon so we went to see Dixie Stampede, Peaches had a blast. The food was soo delicious. Peaches learned how to swim better and do a cannonball. She is very proud of herself for that! She was also more excited about the hotel than the actual beach. Enjoy the pictures. Oh.......I also won at Putt Putt, beat John by 2 points.

4th of July Weekend

This July 4th weekend we opted to stay home and do house work instead of traveling to VA or Summerville. We started off by painting our living room. I then touched up the paint on my front door and playroom. I then scrubbed my kitchen cabinets and scrubbed my kitchen floor (on my hands and knees). In between the housework we went fishing, went grocery shopping, did laundry including all the bed linens, bought new fishing licenses (that was actually before we went fishing), went to eat Mexican, bought a new indoor tree for my house and cleaned up our yard. We recently had 2 peach trees cut down to expand our backyard and eliminate bees!! On July 4th we grilled out and did our own fireworks in the backyard. I was so exhausted by Saturday night...... my feet and ankles were swollen. But at least my house feels and looks clean and crisp.

July 12-14th Myrtle Beach trip
July 30-August 2nd-In-Laws and John's brothers come down for Sealing
August 7th-10th-My parents come from VA to visit
August 8th-Peaches birthday party
August 10th-Register Peaches for 1st Grade
August 12-My birthday (No party planned.....................yet)
August 19th-1st day of school
