Round 3
I was back in the midwife's office again this morning. Round 3 of silver nitrate! I only shed a few tears this time because I got to see my favorite midwife and she is always sooo good to me. I sure do hope this does the trick and I will be all better by next week. She said that I looked better than 10 days ago and I sure feel better than I did 10 days ago. I have finished all my meds, the infection is gone and don't need the narcotic anymore. YEAH!

Emory at One Month
Emory checking out her nursery. Big sister is right by her side to make sure she isn't going to fuss.
I just love black & white photos. I need Christi's talent to help me shoot some really good pictures of the girls (hint hint).

Ok-I'm Tired of This
On Monday I ended up back in the midwife's office because I STILL have not healed from the delivery. They ended up burning the areas that were open and now INFECTED so they would heal quicker. They used silver nitrate again to seal them shut so they would heal from the inside out. I am now on 2000 mg of antibiotics (this med is typically prescribed to burn victims so it is pretty powerful, I take it 4x a day). They want to kill the infection as quick as they can because of where it is located. I also have to treat the infection with peroxide about 10-15 times a day. I am still on 800 mg Motrin and my narcotic but I try not to take it that often.
The procedure was incredibly painful. I am grateful that John went with me because I don't think I could have done it by myself.
If this procedure doesn't work then I will have to go back in and be restitched!
Update: As of this morning I don't feel any better. I feel like I did before I had the procedure done. I am very scared that the silver nitrate didn't work and I will be back in their office at the end of the week for the "other" procedure. John is leaving this week for Myrtle Beach Bike Week so that leaves me and the kids. I am praying that I will start to heal so I don't have to go through anything else. I will keep you posted.

4 Week Checkup
Em had her 4 week checkup this morning. Her ear infection is getting better but she will need to stay on the meds until Saturday. She now has a rash on her chest and back due to her cold but that will clear up on its own. She weighs 9 pounds 6 oz and is now 21 1/2" long (she was born 7 pounds 11 oz and was 21" long). Her head is measuring at 14 1/2". She is in the 50th percentile in all areas. She got her 2nd Hepatitis shot today and did very well.

Peaches newest art work. Maybe I can put them on EBay and get some money to pay for her college.
