Yeah, not so much. From last Wednesday on, we've been told that massive amounts of snow were coming this past weekend. The weather was beautiful for Peach's day off on Friday, and we spent about 2 hours on the trampoline. Why, yes...I did do some somersaults. But I hid the phone from Peach so she couldn't turn me in to the Trampoline FBI. The rain started about noon, and kept on through Saturday night. The snow was
supposed to start Sunday evening...probably about the time I was done watching World Superbike racing...which was cool with me. Everytime I watch guys going 100 mph around curves it makes me want to do it.
So we waited for the snow. And at 4:30, we get a phone call that school has been cancelled for the next day. Woot! So we waited. And waited some more. We waited until 9pm, and then gave up. I figured I'd be up to see it sometime in the middle of the night. Yeah, woke up at 2am...no snow. We got up this morning and both of our jobs were delayed until 10am....no snow. Not even frost. Georgia got up and cried because of the lack of snow. Then she realized that she still didn't have to go to school, and it was all good!
So I took her to work with me. I had planned on doing that anyway, and the lack of snow just made it easier for me to get in! Of course, since the majority of my co-workers live near the area where NO SNOW occured, the parking lot was almost as full as it would have been if we had started at our normal operating time. It's cool, though. I got in and did about two hours of good work, Peaches entertained my co-workers and decorated my new cubicle, and we met Laura for lunch. Then we came home and drove each other crazy trying to find things to do. There's only so much "crafting" I can take. It's too cool out to send her into the backyard and lock the door. So thanks, WIS and WLTX. You guys were spot on with the forecast. I want to be a weather guy. They (and baseball players) are the only people that can be right 30% of the time and be awarded for it.
